A partner and I participated in an international ACM competition involving 38 teams; the competition considered the use of pressure-sensitive keyboards. We developed a biometric keystroke dynamic algorithm which utilized a pressure-sensitive keyboard to detect whether or not the person typing was actually the person they’re claiming to be.
We were limited to only about a month of development, but were able to achieve a False Negative Rate of about 5% with a False Positive Rate of 99.5%.
We ended up winning 1st place in the category of Best Implementation.
